About Dialysis Education Services
Our mission is to improve the quality care given to patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) through an interdisciplinary approach to the education of health care professionals. We prepare our students to deliver safe and effective care, have a therapeutic presence, and employ the ethical and empathetic behaviors needed while caring for patients.
Serving the CKD Community
One out of every seven people in the United States has CKD. This creates an almost unlimited set of health care employment opportunities, and a need for specialized education related to CKD in the following health care environments:
- Primary practices
- Nephrology practices
- Hemodialysis facilities
- Nursing homes
- Home dialysis training centers
- Acute dialysis settings
- Nursing programs and allied health programs
DES provides gold standard educational experiences, addressing the growing needs in CKD by adding to the size, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the CKD workforce.
